The second SSwiFT Wind General Assembly was held on 10 June 2026 in Delft, The Netherlands, one day before the WindEurope Technology Workshop in Rotterdam, at which the project partners were also present. The meeting was hosted by Whiffle at their headquarters in the NEXT Delft building. It was the first meeting featuring Vaisala, which had recently been added to the Advisory Board of the project.
The focus of the meeting was on the technical preparations of the Factory Acceptance Test of the scanning lidar of the University of Stuttgart, the integration of the lidar into the floating lidar system platform of EOLOS and the planning of the pilot test and validation campaign at the LEG test site of TNO. However, there was also time to discuss the data analysis and modeling part of the project, focusing on what can already be accomplished without obtaining first test results, by using other historical or simulated data to verify the developed analysis methods and models.
The SSwiFT Wind project is steadily progressing, with an intensive period of technical preparations for the onshore and offshore test campaigns lying directly ahead.
